After the collapse of East African Airways, Kenya Airways which is partly owned by the government of Kenya began operations, the airline is the flag carrier of Kenya, and it flies with the slogan ‘The Pride of Africa’. Kenya Airways Baggage Allowance

This airline offer different baggage allowance depending on the ticket classes, flight route and Flying Blue membership status. For Economy Class passengers with the exception of domestic and certain European destinations, are allowed to carry two bags each weighing 23kg. For international destinations, Economy class passengers are allowed to carry two bags each weighing 23kg, for Business Class, they are allowed to carry 2 bags each weighing 32kg. Any passenger that carries baggage more than the recommended weight will pay additional charges. Flying Blue members have different allowance depending on the level.


Online Check-in – Kenya Airways provides online check-in for passengers who do not want to check-in at the airport, online check-in is open for 24 hours to the day of the flight but closes 90 minutes before the flight take off. Passengers can check-in online whether or not you book your flight on the official website of the airline.

Airport Check-in – This is open few hours before the flight takes off, closes 45 minutes before takeoff time. Passengers can check-in at the airport.
